I'm part of the Soldier Angels Letter Writing Team, We get a new name ever week, and sometimes they ask for items such as snacks, shampoo, soap, drinks, ect... But for a girl in college, barley making enough to pay her own bills, i cant afford that. But I have such a big heart i would rather spend the money on them than me. Please help me , help them. Find a local church that has a facility to do things like Saturday morning Pancake fund raiser. They get to promote membership in the community, you get to earn money for a good cause, and have a table where patrons can whip off a letter to the soldiers. Also if you want you can trade half off the breakfast for personal items donations.
If a church wont do it, put out fliers looking for someone who can host a fund rasier. Contact your local radio programs and media, they may give free ad spots to help promote your event.
This type of organization will be very good experience for you and could land you a very simular job in fund raising promotion. You may even be able to start a not for profit company that can sustain you the rest of your life doing charitable events for good causes. Good luck |
