Any one know of any underdeveloped seaside towns in UK where rents are cheap and have business potential pleas

Basically in 50's and loking for fresh start away from rottern London and willing even to relocate overseas if necessary. Not too flush with cash hence looking for cheap and quick fund solutions. Have had lots of experience in past but need putting in touch with more connections. Any buisness Angels out there please ? Thanks.

Sorry I dont live loacal so you ownt impart information but I lived on south coast for long while and have moved around the country many years ago. Thanks to the rest of you . Please keep them coming XX

fleetwood

I live near blackpool and they have loads of crappy b&b hotels and they are cheap to buy up here too ( compared to london ).

Margate is looking for investors.Saw a prog and it looked a cheap place.

I certainly do but I do not think that I will impart that information to somebody not reasonably local and London in this case is not local.

Whitby, North Yorkshire. Heaven on earth and very short of decent restaurants. Not sure about cost of rent but would think reasonable.

Not in the UK...
but here's a link:
some parts of Spain (not coastal) still cheap:

I live not far from from a place called Redcar (its north east) I dont know about underdeveloped but it looks it. The beach front was used for the Dunkirk scenes in the film Atonement which has just been released. There are shops, bars, cafes and arcades. It really needs a spring clean but looking the way it does now I would think you would get cheap rent for a business.

Hastings or Rye..Rye is great, rents are cheap for commercial property at the moment...bigest problem is parking tho. Hastings is still the South Coast's poor relation but investment is being made and a marina is getting built i think at some point. Rent is pretty cheap.

Donaghadee, Co. Down in Norn Iron. Quiet, no youth or drunk trouble. Low property prices (so far!) Growing community. Still in UK so banks and other services still the same (BT, PO etc) Two large towns nearby, both haggling over taking over Dee to improve and update its services. Living costs here about 1/3 to 1/4 of London, at most 1/2 half of Britain - we don't have Poll Tax or water charges. Lots of English & Scots moving here having seen the sense to do so. :-)
