Why do you get a runny nose?

I am never sick (but Im always in shorts even if Im making snow angels) but sometimes when I leave my house to go to the public bus stop I get a runny nose.

My answer to that is: "Baby, it's Cold Outside...". The moisture acts like condensation....

When you're outside on a cold day, the air in your nose is a lot warmer than the air around you. You know how the bathroom gets steamy when you take a shower? Something similar happens in your nose - water drops come together, or condense. Then the drops mix with your mucus and run out your nose.

If it's not the weather, it can be that you're sick/cold/flu, have allergies, crying, or maybe you're a chronic nose runner:)
