Help looking for a job?

can anyone gave gd places to go and get help to find a job im looking for retial or office jobs and i live in edinburgh , i have been to office angels i have been to the job centre and careers scotland any wear else , cos i have been trying for about a year , i dont have any exprence only work exprence and qualfcations

I'd have to disagree with people who are suggesting employment agencies. I work for one and if you don't have any experience they won't be able to do a lot with you. It's all business and they are not going to put someone in front of a client if you have no proven track record. Your best bet is to try places like Connections and look into Modern Apprenticeships. They won't pay much but are a step in the right direction. Also look on sites like fish4jobs and monster for office junior/trainee positions Hope this helps!

Good luck!

go to the job centre.

k, The best place to start is your Employment agency, or Workforce center.
You have a better chanse to reach your goals if you register with them and discuss your situation, what your looking for and requirements.

They provide a variety of services such as on the job training, assist you in creating a Resume..etc....all you have to do is ask. Good luck and God bless!.

Your best bet is going though a agency

last year i applied for 10 jobs, and got only one interview. luckily my agency got me work quickly. on you CV put in as much info as you can all your skills intrests dont lie but you can embelish the truth a bit. percivere dont loose hope. if your willing to grab a shovel and carry gravel from A to B in a wheel barrow you'll get work easy enough. if you get agency work dont rush the work your given, and be on time every day. i keep my watch 5 minutes fast to make sure im early. employers care more about grafting than qualifications, never stand idle. if your short of work to do grab a brush bosses love that. with an agency you'll be asked back by name and there could be a full time job in it as well. be wary about agencies some are good and stand by you, others will drop you like a hot turd. if your 16-18 years old or under 25 get yourself a trade, youll never be out of work. even being a site labourer you get to know the tradesmen if they like you, they can throw you a few extra quid or offer you an apprenticeship.
