Do you need to read Angels and Demons to understand The Da Vinci Code? Is it a hard read? |
Do you need to read Angels and Demons to understand The Da Vinci Code? Is it a hard read? The two are not related other than they are both Dan Brown books and both feature Robert Langdon. Both are great books that are difficult to put down once you start them. I would say that Angels and Demons is just as good (if not better) as the Davinci Code No...I only read the Da vinci code and never read the other one.. Nope, Angels and Demons is just the adventure of Langdon before the Da Vinci Code story. It only mentions the plot of Angels and Demons maybe once or twice in the Da Vinci code. I wouldn't consider it a hard read. You can read one without the other. no, i only read the davinic code--great book. if you are going to buy the book and havent ever traveled over seas get the boook with the pics of the actual places they are talking baout. it helps No, its 2 different story. All u need to do to understand the Da vinci code is to read the da vinci code!!!!! Seperate and unrelated stories... and I thought A&D was MUCH MUCH better than the Code, and would make a far better movie! I've read both books. They're two independent stories so you can read any one of them without the other. It's not a hard read, but there is a lot of info in it, sometimes in huge chunks, and you may or may not feel like skipping it sometimes and just getting back to the action! No you don,t. The DaVinci code is actually a very easy book to follow and as a result very entertaining. I,ve read three Dan Brown books and enjoyed every one Easy read. It's a stand alone book so you don't need to read anything else first. i would just rent the movie but that is boring. No, you don't need to read Angels and Demons, but if you get the chance...do it! It is an amazing book. In my opinion it is better than the Da Vinci Code (which is saying a lot). It does have a lot of info in it and they make reference to a lot of different things in Rome. If you have never been there I would suggest reading the illustrated version. There are pictures of statutes and paintings. I read the book without the pictures first and thought it was fantastic and then when I found the illustrated version I went back and looked through all the pictures...it was like reading the book all over again. P.S. The Da Vinci Code has an illustrated version as well. |
