How would you feel if your rich dad only gave you this right before his death?

A bible.

All the money goes toward something else, he leaves you with nothing but just that holy bible and tells someone to tell you that he loves you.


This was an episode of "Touched by an Angel" called "Inherit the Wind", I saw it back in 1999. This boy in his late teens or early 20s ONLY gets that. The best he does toward the end of the show is get some grungy office job in another town making about only $10 an hour.




If it were me, I'd be pis#ed. That'd only drive me to get finacially success even harder and when I finally achieved that upper tier years later and am doing well with a nice house and all. I'll be laughing at my dad in prayer who's in Heaven and tell him that he failed in his mission to keep me down and poor and keep rubbing it in.



What would you think and what would you do?

yea i'd be pretty fuc*ing bitter.

i think you missed the message in the show.

dad may have had money but he probably did not have happiness or a sense of integrity.

you can be happier making less and at least be able to face yourself in the mirror.

thats not to say that all rich people are unhappy, but i think if it is given to you you don't really have an appreciation for it or have a higher purpose in life. just look at some of the celebs like Paris Hilton - no appreciation, no sense of doing anything selfless.

Happiness doesn't always come in the form of a thick wallet and huge bank account. True success isn't measured by them either.
