Should I be honest to a background check? VERY IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE HELP!?

I was offered a job with the county I live in and one of the processes I have to go through is a background investigation. They ask EXTENSIVELY about past drug use or experiments, even if I was ever AROUND drugs. I, like most teens, did do some regretful things. Should I be a little honest or lie and make it seem like I'm an angel? There's even a possibility I may have to take a polygraph! Is there a way for them to check previous employments that I did not list?

Yes, a good employer will check all of your references. I would say you should be honest and admit your mistakes. It makes you more human and more likeable. You won't get the job if they find out you lied.

They can get any background check they need since it is public record. Be honest and hope for the best.

Good Luck

they give drug tests, and polygraph tests for all very good and high position jobs. Don麓t lie, be honest. if you lie and they find out later, you will be dismissed. they will find out all the schools you attend, every job you had-not the door to door lawn mowing or leaf raking, but any thing you signed up for and payed taxes in doing. and don麓t be too scared in the interview, they will think you are hiding some thing.
