How does a company give an investor an return on investment?

I am going to set up an offshore company that only requires 1 director (me) and need to know out how i can retain the sole control of dividends. i hope to secure an investment from an angel investor for 400k.

What return would and angel expect and in what time frame?
Do i allocate shares to him?
What is the normal repayment arrangment?
What would the normal agreement be if the business was bought out?

any assistance is appriciated.

Paying dividends is the decision and right of board of directors.
Dividends are paid to please the shareholders that company is doing good.
There is no need to pay dividends
but labour problem may arise if dividends are not paid.
Shareholders would shift to other if they are specially interested in dividends.
