What's the real deal with getting $100k-$250k of Angel Money?

do they only want a 15-20% return on the money in one year? or do they also want 1-10% also of ownership of the company? do I need to be a LLC?

All of the above.

It really depends on what you have and who you are talking to. Borrowing from family vrs borrowing from a VC they want different things but the deals can be structured all kinds of ways.

A simple loan at 15% for a year
50% of the company
0% interest loan that is paid out of profits and the VC owns 25% of the company after that

It all depends on what you are bringing to the table and how big an opportunity they think there is.
