Does anyone know of a place called angel of mercy that gives out loans for people in help?

my friends husband has been lying to her and told her that he got a loan from a group called angels of mercy but i cant find anytihng about it. She is not internet friendly and i am and i still cant find anything out it sounds fishy

I found it through another American Legion page.
Is her husband a soldier? In Virginia?
There could be other programs with this name if I found this info hard to find without searching for the American Legion as part of the keywords.
Maybe he is just making it up and using the term "Angel of Mercy" as a euphemism. But maybe he's telling the truth. Is she worried that he got the money from an illegal or otherwise shady source?
I think he could probably introduce her to his friends at Angel of Mercy if he is really telling the truth. Then she won't have to worry.
