Angel Investors required?

My friend is looking for an angel investor/s to kick-start his pet project of starting out a string of commercially viable websites. The estimated loan requirement would be close to $6000, and it would be great if this amount were pooled up as one and loaned by a group, or individually loaned out in smaller amounts. You are welcome to direct your inquiries/suggestions to me, or directly to his email id visitkrp@yahoo.com

For that amount, your friend is better off looking for loans from family and friends. Or even a credit card. Even SBA's Microloan Program is so much better, as you can get loans up to $35,000 from this program.

Angel investors hardly give that small an amount. Also, they invest if they see tremendous return on their investments. So your friend needs to prepare a business plan that is compelling enough to make angel investors want to invest in him.

Business 2.0 http://money.cnn.com/2006/02/28/magazine... has a very good article on angel investors, what they typically look for, what kind of investments they support, etc.

But if your friend really wants to try his luck with angel investors, you may want to go and pitch your ideas where investors gather. Here are some places where angel investors come and those looking for funding can come and pitch their business plans. Be sure to have a strong business plan and describe what makes your business idea stand apart:

good luck on that
