What are investment analysts making these days?

I'm studying business, finance, and economics in hopes of becoming an investment analyst, or perhaps a bonds trader. What are they making salary wise?

www.privateequityweek.com/pew/report.htm...
analysts in private equity made $68,017 in 2003, and there was a 4.78% increase from the year before. If you can make it to associate (next level up, hard to do without standing out and also starting to study for or pass the 3 CFA exams), you can make $84,717, and a yearly bonus of 50-75% of your base salary. investment banking used to be hot, and now it's private equity. you have to really love what you do and work the long hours. the people i worked with were so intelligent and nice. the politics are pretty treacherous depending on where you work. a lot of people came from Wharton Buz school.
