Bonds - are they a good investment? |
Bonds - are they a good investment? Depends. They play an important role in any portfolio, mainly for protection, stability, and income. While they won't keep up with the pace of inflation, they will reduce overall risk of a portfolio, mainly one heavily in stocks. So to answer, yes. Not really. The interest rate isn't that great. yes, casino royale made a fortune at the box office I would say not. I don't think that they attract any interest (I assume you're talking about Premium Bonds), just the chance to win in the weekly draws. You can cash them in at any time for face value. So if you've had them for a long time (mine over 30 years and only ever won 拢50), you only get face value. 拢70 30 years ago was alot of money - not now though, ot even a good noght out. |
