How positive is the return of the said interest in a bond fund investment?

How positive is the return of the said interest in a bond fund investment?

The least amount of risk is in a Money Market Fund and even then the rate of return fluctuates. The principal usually stays constant with Canadian Money Market Funds.
The risk tends to rise with the other fixed income funds (like bonds). Interest rates fluctuate constantly as does the market value of a bond. (It can sell under or over par value).
A positive return is what the investor finds the most acceptable. 3% might be fine for some, whereas other persons would like to see 7%+. You have to read up a bit on the different funds and consult an investment adviser to see what is right for you.
