Will stocks crash? |
Should I change my 401-K from 85% stocks to 100% bonds. Untill market stabilizes. I have acct in fidelty and can move investments online I think. Not unless you are retiring tomorrow. #1, you wouldn't want to sell out of stocks right now anyway - you'd be locking in a loss. Investing isn't complicated - buy low, sell high. THe lemmings that go into mass sell-offs at the first hint of bad news only hurt themselves. Yes they will crash. They always do. It seems like you're not even beating the stock market average with your pick of stocks. If you go to bonds, the returns will drop. Stop being a wimp. If you look through history dating back to the great depression, the return on stocks is higher on a yearly average than any other investment. Stop looking at your account every day and ride the wave. Upswings are always larger than downturns. |
