How do sales of financial securities impact gdp? |
Hi, If FOREIGNERS purchase US securities (regardless of whether the owners are US or not), is there any impact on US gdp? So if US financial assets (stocks/bonds) appreciate, does that directly affect US GDP (a measure of income/production) at all? If so, what account should that be categorized under (Consumption, Investment, Government, NX). hard to say |
