Investing money somewhere..?

Hi,

I'm 16 and I've saved up some money (3,500) so far, and I'm not going to need it for a good while (University). I'm wondering what the best option is to invest it somewhere so it makes a little more money then bonds or simple savings accounts?

Has anyone had experience with a Market Mix GIC? (1 - 3 year investment, interested is based on "the market".. ?

If you are 16 now I assume you will need the money in 2-3 years. If I were you and I really needed the money in this time frame I would not put it in the stock market. If you put it in a savings account you are guarenteed a certain return, you should find at least 5% at an online bank. This will net you just over $4000 in 3 years. In the market maybe you have more maybe you have less but nobody really knows. The stock market has always been the best performing investment not counting leverage but this is over a longer period of time in shorter term it is the most volitile which means you have the highest chance of loosing money.

Put the money in ING DIRECT.
ok

Just save it in your account because you can't do much.

GET FINANACIAL ADVICE OTHERWISE YOU MAY END UP LOSING IT ALL AND NOT GOING TO UNIVERSTY

Maybe you can invest it in my trading business... I am looking for investors to support our capitalization...
