How to get my $2K deposit for furniture back? Store has filed for bankruptcy (ch11). I paid with Mastercard.? |
The delivery time was 3-4 months, which is _now_, so I paid the deposit 4 months ago. I just received the letter announcing their filing for ch11 today. Immediately contact your credit card company to dispute on the basis of payment rendered and product not received. They really don't need any more info than that. Basically you paid for a service/product and never received it so your credit card company and the FTC along with the Attorney General of your state can provide you with more details about the process. You generally do have a time limit so do immediately dispute this item with your credit card company, some can even be disputed directly through the credit card website. Good Luck |
