Debt collection?

I was contacted by a rep who said they were compiling a list of businesses for a government website and said that I would be in line to get a lot of business from the website. He asked me to send an email to confirm that I wanted to be included and as soon as I paid the fee I would be included. I sent the email and they sent me an invoice but I decided it would not work for me and refused to pay the invoice. They are now threatening to take me to court for the money. So they are expecting me to pay for something I don't want and will never get. I will not ever pay What comments do you have about this sort of practice.

You have not paid for their services yet therefore they can not charge you a fee , you are due them nothing .

Anyway say you did even go ahead with it , payed then backed out , everyone gets a 14 day colling off period as part of their contract which allows every consumer to change their mind within 14 days ( as we can all go for a flutter then change your mind later)

i always thought that u had to sign a contract then u had the chance to pull out if u wanted to . it was called a cooling off period i think they r taking the piss my self go see cab cits ad vice bur good luck

You owe them nothing , they are trying it on , don't worry just let them do what they want , without your signature they can't prove anything.

Ask them to produce the contract that you have signed!!. It doesn't exist and neither does the debt. It is a scam. Tell them to foxtrot oscar.
