How can I collect money from a business debt in Mexico without crossing the border? |
I started a business with my brother in law, he lives in Mexico and I live in San Diego. I sold him about $18,000 in tools and he has only paid me $3,000. I have all the PO's, invoices that he acknowledged, but still ows me $15,000 and doesn't seem willing to pay me. I am being constantly told that he will get me the money tomorrow, tomorrow, etc. Is there a way to collect money in Mexico being that this was an international (USA-Mexico) transaction? If he does business with customers in the US who pay him, sue him for the money in a US court. If you win a judgment, then garnish the amounts his US customers owe him. They pay you and not him. |
