If I have an SBA loan to start up a business, would it be considered personal debt if I applied for a mortgage |
The company would be an S corporation so business and personal go on the same tax return. Since I haven't filled one out yet I don't know if business debt is recognized as separate or the same as personal debt when it comes to applying for home loans and such. Any experts? It would be considered personal debt, unless it is purchased/mortgaged under the business name. If you apply it to your house mortgage you can be asked to repay the total instantly if do no use it for the business. Home loan are different and they can not be used for a business. Though you can apply for a mortgage for a business by using your house as collateral. If you used your for collateral then what you are about to do is a big NO, NO. |
