Does anyone here own a Spa?

If you do can you give me some advice on how profitable is it? How much work? How to get started? Would you recommend it as a good business venture to invest in?

I own a spa, I have only been operating for 2 years. I am in the plus already, don't tell my accountant. LOL
It was very profitable to me, the hardest part was getting the money to pay for the equipment, a place, remodeling and products.
I have three booth renters who cover the mortgage and the equipment, the only real thing left for me to pay for is products and utilities. Our advertising is next to nothing.
We barter a lot of our services, which means free stuff, this is one thing that helped us out a lot.
You need to decide whether you want to employ or booth rent, I chose booth renting because it means less work for me and I don't have to hold Workman's comp or pay the employees.
I have to tell you though, in the beginning I was work6 days a week from like 8-9, it was rough, but it was only for about ayear and now I work 4 days from 1-8 for extra income.
