If i have an associate how what % should i give her and should she pay bills as well?

i am a new business owner. (domestic referral services)
I stared abaout 3 months and i have been doing ok if i could say. My question is that i have someone who wants to associate with me,she said that she can bring me a lot of clients to my business. I would like 2 give it a try for about 3 months. but i don't know what % should i give her and if she should pay bills as well. example rent, phone bill, ext. I mean i was the one who started the business and invested money on my business. so i really don't think it would be fair to just jo 50/50, but i want something that it is fair for both of us. what advise can you gibve me? I need help!

What exactly is the nature of the work that is being done to bring over the new clients? Sales calls and meetings? It sounds like the appropriate compensation would be a straight commission (assuming that there is a measurable, immediate sale involved). If the work is being done in YOUR office and especially if this resembles an employer/employee relationship, then certainly the expenses are your department, and there should possibly be a draw against commission as well (a base salary, and commissions are paid only when they are in excess of that salary).

On the other hand, if the associate is working in her own home or office, then the bills are HER legitimate business expenses which she can deduct from her taxes.
