Amy invests a part of $8000 in bonds paying 12% interest. The remainde is in a savings account at 8%. If she receives $840 in interest for 1year, how much does she have invested at each rate?
Can some Help me work this equation out! Please

$3k in the savings = $240
$5k in Bonds = $600

Try 12x +8y=8000 and solve for the two variables.
Noo problem!

$5,000 is invested at 12%
$3,000 is invested at 8%
