Business Statistics Question on determining sample size?

What is the sample size of this data?

Amount Invested-------------Frequency
$50 up to $60 ----------------- 3
$60 up to $70 ------------------6
$70 up to $80 ------------------13
$80 up to $90 ------------------10
$90 up to $100 -----------------8

Please explain!

The frequency is the number of times an event happened. so if you have 3 + 6 + 13 + 10 + 8 you have the sample size of 40.

relative frequency would be observations divided by sample size, e.g., $80 up to $90 would have a relative frequency of 10/40 or 0.25.
