I am searching for companies who can develop a small business website inexpensively.?

I need a e-commerce site, but since I am just starting up, I don't have much to invest. Any ideas would be helpful!

First, congratulations on getting started! As a web developer myself, I want to caution you against going the "el cheapo" route on these things. The reason is that while sites like GoDaddy.com (as mentioned above) can provide a decent cookie-cutter service, if you're looking to differentiate yourself from competitors, if you need some serious rock-solid security and reliability, and if you really want your site to POP, you need to hire a REAL developer.

While the cookie-cutter route is OK to get started, please don't trap yourself in it and prevent your business from growing because you've nickel-and-dimed everything. As you grow, re-invest in an extremely strong web presence with proper design, good usability/interface, customer account management (online), and so on.

Godaddy.com is probably the foremost .com/hosting site around. You can get something up and running for less than $100. Just check out their website and look at the different packages or create your own to see exact price for what you're looking for. You can also call them. They are very nice and can help you out a great deal in researching this information.

Hi, If you are not looking to do it yourself, I would recommend looking for interns or freelancers. Post a listing on craigslist.com. You should get good response... even from people who are not in your city. This is how my blog is going to be designed.
