I want to Sell Mary Kay Products but I do not have a lot of money to invest up front...?

I'm just wondering if it is a good investment.
Any advise, hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Also I'm in love with the products and use them all of the time, so that's one of the main reasons I want to get in the business. To offer other people wonderful products.

I'm still a MK Consultant--about 3 years now. I say Still because it's been up & down and I sometimes question if it was the right thing for me. I LOVE the product and have used Mary Kay for years, which is also why I decided to sell.
So....before I say anything else, let me preface it with my opinion: Selling Mary Kay (and using it for that fact) is NOT for everybody, regardless of what others say.

Now...I work full-time for a large corporation for over 20 years and ABSOLUTELY Love my job - I won't quit it for Mary Kay. I do not aspire to be on the Leadership side for DIQ or Director. I've had a few people under me but that was a lot of work. I stocked up on inventory when I first started and ended up giving more discounts just to clear it out. You can make money without having inventory on hand - so don't be talked into buying product you can't afford - or taking out a loan to get it- with the promise that you will sell it. Yes having inventory can motivate you to work your business, but you may be more concerned with trying to make the money back, fast.

Just make sure you have Samples of ALL MK products and get to know the benefits of everything - even other products for comparison purposes. When you build your clientele, then you can build inventory for your regulars. I have not had ONE customer not buy from me because I didn't have something in stock. NOT ONE!

Mary Kay products are wonderful and you will meet lots of wonderful people too (men & women) so Go for it... just be practical. I wish you much Success.

Same reason I started my business I loved the products I started with very little inventory and built it up that was 3 years ago. I love it. I just recently submitted my Director Qualification. I have no regrets. You need to work hard but you are working hard for yourself in a business that has no ceiling. Make sure you really like you consultant ( whomever sponsors you into the company) and they are supportive to you and your goals.
