Is a franchise considered a partnership business organization?

I am doing a paper for school on the 3 main business organizations; Sole Proprietership, Partnership and Corporation. I have to give an example of each from my community. I believe that a Franchise company can be considered a Partnership since they share the business ideas and invest in the same company. Any insight?

Although a franchise can be a partnership, it usually isn't. The franchisor usually does not invest in the franchisee or vice versa, and they don't share the profits or losses of the franchised business. The franchisor only receives fees from the franchisee in exchange for services such as advertising, use of the brand name, etc.
