This was an advantage available upto Financial year ended 31st march 2005, where in you could set off your loss in personal business against Salary and save tax, but after the amendment effective from financial year 2005-06, you cannot get any additional tax benefit, however you will be able to carry forward the loss for a period of 8 years to be set off against future business profits
