Why do people invest money in a business and then quit before they've even started?

It could be several reasons:

1. They realized a little late that they are not cut out for entrepreneurship; that they are better off working as salaried employee or find other means to earn income other than starting a business

2. They started to have doubts about their capabilities to run a business (or they got scared)

3. They realized that their business is a losing proposition - so better cut your losses now than more down the line

4. They underestimated the capital requirements and realized that they do not have sufficient resources to successfully start, grow and manage the business - and that they don't know or can't get additional funds

5. They failed to plan out how the family would be affected by the business; or members of their family objected to the business

6. They just lost interest in the business

7. They realized that there is lots of work involved and don't want to be bothered by it

8. They fear that they may run afoul of the law and don't want to risk it (e.g. zoning, regulatory problems, etc.)

9. They really don't know what to do or how to proceed next; and they cannot find someone to mentor or guide them

10. Partners or other investors involved pulled out of the business

people who r new to business think its just abt investing money and making profits. but business is much much more. owing is business is as hassle as raising children.


so new people cant take the pressure and quit.
