If I were an investment firm and you were a business, why should I invest in your company?

Let's just say you are looking to expand your business and you needed funding. Give me reasons on why your business would be a good investment.

1. Guaranteed growth of business under current owner (as evidenced by 3.5-year track record).
2. Guaranteed growth in the business sector (well-known fact).
3. Current demand for business (waiting list of clients needing my services).
4. Investors' interest in growing a business that truly helps society.

There can be many reasons that an investment firm may want to provide funding, but the main reason will always be that the business receiving the funding will be sound and able to pay back the funding with interest under specified terms. Investment firms are strictly what they say they are - firms for INVESTMENT. They are in the business of making money. Therefore, the business asking for the funding must show the ability to pay the debt back with interest.
A business can be a good investment through showing at least the past 5 years of financial documents, showing the busines plan (which needs to include the goals and mission of the organization), and the plan for the future. The investment firm will also want to see the credit record of the business owners and business itself.

The same reason any venture capitalist invests in a company. It has a 50% chance of making their money back, with a 10% chance of making at least 400x their investment.

If they invest in 10 of those companies with those statistics, 5 would make a return, 4 would be a loss of expense, and the great 1 startup would make them millions to reinvest!

All it takes is someone with a great idea, motivation, and dedication to make it happen. You need to look for that individual!
