Can any one who is a professional help me choose my majors in the field of business?

i need to kno wt kind of career i can get and which one is highly paid for...anything under business..personally i chose double majors in finance and MIS(management information system) is this the right choice cz i still hav time ti change it..

Those are two very good choices. As is accounting. Understanding the information system is key so I really like the double major.

Have you had any opportunities to intern or work in an office. Take the summer and try temping. You might find you like one area more than another.

I agree with rcb..and especially look into international law as we are rapidly growing into a global community.

Are you actually registered in a university? I am amazed that a university student could have such atrocious typing skills BUT...

Most universities recommend doing your first year or two as a "general" student and then finding out first-hand which areas of business interest you. I took courses in "General" Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Business Law before deciding that I was more interested in Education. In today's world it is advantageous to have an MBA if you want to be competitive. To get an MBA you need several years' post-degree work experience.

It is better to get a Bachelor of Commerce degree if you want to study Business, because Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business are not as highly regarded.

Unless you love it, don't do it. I could not stand being couped up in an office all day. The amount of stress they put on you for deadlines is pretty intense. You can never take more than a few day off every few months. When you do go on vacation, nobody does your job while you are gone. The big thing about finance and IT is that you are always looked at as an expense and they are always trying to cut expenses. I would go into marketing or sales. You get to have great lunches and dinner paid for and you are seen as an asset bringing revenue into the company and you are more highly compensated for this. My friend is the Director of sales for HGTV and Food network. He loves it. He get to go to all these places and meet all kinds of people.
But if you are good with numbers and can figure out complex problems, you will do very well in the fields your are currently studying in. Just be prepared that it might get a little boring. Go rent "Office Space" for a preview what is to come.
