Under what corporation should I register this type of business?

I am wanting to start a new business- buy shoes wholesale and resell. I am at a cross roads as to what to register the business as; sole proprietorship or LLC. I know that with SP the business and my personal finances are the same (liability of business is considered personal loss) but I don't want that. Is LLC the next best thing for me to do?

Probably. A limited liability corporation, which is what LLC is an acronym for, is designed precisely to protect your personal finances and property from being attached in case of law suit or other problem. It is also fairly easy to file for one, create it, and fairly easy to "un" create it, as long as everyone who is listed on it as an owner is available to sign papers. Be very careful, though, about listing other people as anything on the papers, and be careful about what you list as its domiciliary address. Been a victim of fraud, myself, where this was concerned.
