How do you start a concrete pumping business without any industry experience?

I have six male friends who are American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA) Certified Operators. Thus, they have industry experience but not any business experience and don't have the capital I have. On the other hand, I have business experience (managerial and financial), almost done with my B.S. in Business Administration (concentration in finance), and have at least $600,000 at my disposal (nothing borrowed) but of course I have no industry experience. What should I do, and where can I get the material? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Forget it. Put the 600k into 50% high yield and 50% treasuries and risk trade the coupons you receive. The chances of losing your investment in a company with no managerial or marketing expertise is very high. The chances of losing a bond portfolio are near zero. I therefore suggest you get the bond portfolio first and only risk what income it produces. Hopefully that concentration in finance is teaching you about the preservation of capital.
