Excellent business idea.. I think this could be successful in the UK and abroad.but?

I have no business experience.. just a good idea...I don't know how to proceed. I would also love to be able to find a business partner [not to finance this] but to add a business head to the whole thing.. to be an equal contributor and benefactor....
Help.. any suggestions??
P.S I don't have to quit my job as I am not working. I am a Law Student.

first you need to copyright or register your idea, before you discuss with anyone else so that they cannot pinch your idea, then you need to draw up a business plan (you can get help with this on line,) then approach a bank about financing , they also have business advisers that can help you with practical advice and who can advise you on the best way to go about making it successful. further than that don't know how we can help without knowing what the business idea is. good luck anyway.

You should decide whether you want your business partner to be a friend or stranger. It could be hard to work with a friend and equally hard to work with a stranger. You also need to decide the ownership of the business; a partnership sounds suitable if there will be two of you (make sure you get a deed of partnership) however a Ltd (private limited company) could also be a good idea. There are lots of tax saving benefits and less risk you can also sell shares to friends and family. I would highly advice you go to HSBC or another banks website and check out the business section. They allow you to print a business plan and cashflow forecast and you can then arrange a meeting with your bank manager and talk about what you want to do and how you need to go about it. Its always a good idea to protect your idea/product. You might want to contact a patents lawyer on this. On the other hand, I would like to discuss this idea with you. Mail me in the first instance and we'll take it from there.

Excellent Business idea. I think it will work... but it needs fixing on the edges and needs a clearer strategy and Goals. Creating this enterprise will be difficult and will cost a lot of money to manufacture and distribute!
