many multinational companies made add for their product, taking a big multi stars and famous people like cricketers in big budget.so many times normal people can not understand these advertisements.can not they unnecessary waisting their money?IT can be made in low budget also by taking normal people very effective and attractive. Is it not?

To sell more and more, firms need to advertise their products, wahtever their qualities or their business. To live, a company need to be known, that's why they always advertise theirs products.
It is true that they often use international stars, above all in sport field, but I don't agree with you. I am convinced that a lot of people try to identify themselves to epop;e they see in ads. Otherwise, why Nike sold so much Air Jordan???

Because it was Jordan and not another one!! Some people (not everybody) really pay attention to whch cahmpions use which kind of cereals, snickers, T-Shirts and so no. Imagine a world where people will have no more symbol or sign ti identify themselves. It will be very very dangerous.

But finally, I agree with you on the point that every product don't need to be adevertised by a star or a sport champion. But, anyway, if firms can afford to waste so much money, it is their business...

Advertising Agencies test their Ads before they are released and if the targeted demographics cannot understand the ads then the Ads are scrapped and a new Ad is done and they test the Ad again until an acceptable range of the targeted demographics can understand the Ad.

Some companies will take an Ad with 90% of the people getting the message and some companies will take an Ad with 80% of the people getting the message.

Most People love celebrities and when they see an Ad with a celebrity they love it is more likely they will buy that product even if it's more expensive.

There are billions of normal people and nobody wants to be normal.

Everybody wants to be an astronaut or a policeman or a nurse or a Superhero.

You cannot play Basketball like Michael Jordan but at least you can buy the same shoes he uses to play basketball.

Normal does not sell.

Can you imagine "Pretty Woman" with a normal woman?
