Degree in Law or Business?

I am interested in things like the Stock Market, Investment Banking (like merrill lynch),and International Business and Law.
Im thinking of going into Business Finance or Accounting but Ive also heard that getting into Law is good because in the business world you are dealing with laws and you have to learn them anyway..
Which one is better? easier?

I took an external degree in law way back in 1974 with London University. There were 12 papers to take. I found it very interesting as I was working in a semi legal environment at the time.

Your question, Which one is better, which one is easier is hard to answer. If as you say you want banking, then there will obviously be some law involved, but not to the same extent if you want a career in law.

Faced with your situation and if I were in your shoes, I would opt for law with the option of additional modules applicable to Banking. I would opt for any choices possible within the law degree which are mandatory for Banking.

With the right choices you may find yourself with optional career paths although further study would be required to qualify as a solicitor.

Several decades have gone since I obtained my law degree and I did find it very helpful.
