My Career Goal in Business and Finance?

Hi, Im 17 years old, and and as of now my career goal is to be an investment banker.... and also I am a senior at my high school and about to graduate and move on to college and start a life....but im unsure if i can get into a really good college wit my 2.5 GPA average, and im also planning in getting into Business and Finance, as of now im not taking any math class because I finished my course at math6 B, but im pretty sure im gonna forget about math because i havent did any in a while, and i know that in the course in Busness & Finance takes alot of math, and im not really a big fan of mathematics but im willin to learn........SO MY MAIN QUESTION...CAN SUMONE HELP ME GET INTO THE RIGHT TRACK ON STARTING MY CAREER AND WHAT COLLEGES WOULD BE GREAT TO GET INTO WITH A 2.5 GPA AVERAGE?

Well 17 year old person. I would strongly recommend to start going to a community college to sharp your intellectual skills such as math, english and other general requirement. After being there for about two years, you will be able and ready to transfer.

Once you transfer to a State Univerisity or a University you would be concentrating on your upper division classes for two years. I really suggest to keep your grades up in the community college in order for you to get a good "GPA", so you could transfer to a really good University.

In life, not everybody go straight to a University for several reason and here are two reasons.
1. People need money: They would work part-time and go to school part-time.
2. Their GPA is too "low" to be accepted to a good University. So they will go to a community colllege to get there GPA up.


Anyways, whatever route you decide to take. Just go to school. Make school your "priority" or else those dreams that you have, would just be another man's dream.

Well, sounds like you and I are a lot alike. My GPA was pretty average. I went to Community College for 2 years. Then did well there. Got accepted at U.C.L.A. Got my degree in Economics with an Emphasis in Finance. Made to Regiona Manager of a Major Bank and Investment Company.
If you put 2 years in at Community College, Universities know you have 3 times the probability to graduate than for incoming Freshman. You WILL get accepted to a good school and you will have saved a bunch of money in the mean time. It's pretty much just General Education the first 2 years anyway.
