Are business and finance majors in high demand? |
I just sat through a college graduation and it seemed like most of the people were graduating with some form of a business or finance degree. Do these degrees pay the best and are the jobs easy to get? Finance and Business are generalized business majors that prepare you for a number of career paths. They are non-specific and therefore may SEEM to be in high demand, only because so many jobs will require that degree. They are in very high demand. One of my friends is an Adminstrative/IT major(business) and she found out that alot of companies are asking for her. The higher you go in education the better pay you are going to get. They are if you were thinking to go this route do it and you will have a career for life They are like General Ed. degrees, easy to get and not that expensive. The hi tech degrees, Science, Math, Chemistry, Medicine and Law, all pay more, but are much harder and more costly to get. I graduated yesterday with a finance degree and have been interviewing for about 5 months now with several companies in financial advising positions and corporate finance. If you really apply yourself you can find anything, unfortunately most new grads are content to sit back and wait for the offers to come in. I accepted an offer after receiving several, so I think that the field is in demand. Good luck in your search and congrats on choosing the greatest field out there! Find out. |
