Financing for Woman Starting Business? |
Everyone always tells you that there is money and financing available for women to start businesses. I have looked and I can find nothing to help me. If your credit is not spectacular, you have no working capital of your own, if you have nothing to guarantee the loan, if you have no family and friends with money, but you have a solid idea, what can you do? Your problem is that you have nothing to guarantee the loan. You may want to seek out an investor instead of a traditional loan. I have been in your shoes. And all that crap about financing for women is CRAP. The best way to get financing for your business is to take a personal loan out. The SBA stuff is bull, you have to literally write up like a hundred pages of crap, go to counseling sessions, and sign your life away just to maybe get the SBA Loan, then after all of that the rates are not even that good - they are about the same as a personal loan would be. I tried every thing, and they make it sound like there is so much out there, but there is very little. There is a loan program called makemineamillion.org that says they give out loans to women but you do have to fill out a book to apply. Good luck in your business. I learned the hard way that no one is going to help me just cause I am a woman, anything you heard that they will is a lie. Girl you gotta fight for it if you want it. Try http://www.sba.gov they have lots of information about starting a business and also information for women owned businesses. |
