How can i withdraw from my ISA plan?

how can i withdraw 拢3000 from my ISA plan?

what is capital protected options?

do i have to sell the investments in my plan to the get the cash?

Just draw it out that's all, i transferred mine as i bank on the internet but you can just go in and take it like you would any other cash from your current account.

Yes, you do have to sell any investments in your plan to withdraw cash.

You can withdraw cash from your ISA plan just like any other bank account but you must remember that you can only deposit 拢3000 per year into a Cash Mini ISA, 拢4000 into a Stocks & Shares Mini ISA and 拢7000 into a Maxi ISA (this will go up next year). This means that if you have a Cash Mini ISA and you deposit 拢2500 then withdraw 拢1000 you can still only deposit 拢500 more.

A capital protected option lets you invest in the stock market with no chance of a negative return (loss). However, you do not get the full profit either. This is a no-risk way to invest in the stock market but the returns are much lower.

All you have to do is ask for the money to come to you. Fairly fast if its in cash ISA or within about 4 working days if equity based.
Check there are no penalties as you mentioned capital protected. Are you in such a plan? See an IFA for advice on this as there can be different "meanings". Usually these sorts of plan are sold to guarantee no loss of capital "provided that ...." and the "provided that" can result in a loss to you if you cancel and come out too soon ie. within the offered 1/2/3/4/5 year time period. These plans usually perform less well than a true equity based ISA as the "guarantee" is costly to you and you do not receive any dividend growth.
Of course you have to sell the investment to get the cash unless of course you only want to encash a portion of the investment, in which case you only have to sell sufficient to realise the cash you want.
