If I have $1000.00 in investment capital, which stock do I buy? Either Intel, Apple, or Micron Technology?

These companies seem to have advantages for the ordinary investor, so therefore, which company might have the best plan for the future?

I would look very closely at DRIP plans. They are perfect for small investors and don't have the expenses of mutual funds.

Your first option should be to fund fully a retirement account. If you do this, and you have extra cash, then one of the best things you can do is open a DRIP Plan.

These powerful investment plans are seldom talked about because brokers make very little money when they suggest them. Yet, they have proven to be one of the best, if not the best, long-term strategy on Wall Street.

They are perfect for small investors, as well as big investors. They are safe and allow you to not care about whether the market is going up or down. They are a must for any serious investor.

I strongly recommend looking into it. They are great plans.

How about all 3 split 40/30/30 in Apple, Intel and Micron respectively?

Put the money in a high yeild Money Market Fund while you do your own research on those companies. Good luck!

out of those three, i would choose AAPL, apple, intel just got sued over patents.

Better options i think:
Google. they are going to release the Gphone, it might get the same attention as the Iphone.

JTX, Jackson Hewitt, because it is tax season. maybe H&R block, HRB, but i like JTX more because they have a new CEO that is changing its way of management.

You need to diversify. If you have a $1000, I would recommend buying an index fund or ETF.

What if you put your whole $1000 in Apple, and there stock drops another 30 plus percent like it did this year so far? Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Intel is a $20 stock, Apple is a $150 stock. With $1K, how many shares can you buy? Micron Tech is only $6, 150 shares is not bad for a starter, but it pays no dividend. Neither do Apple. Do they have growth potential? Most stocks do when you look back. You wish you'd purchased 125 shares of Apple 10 years ago when it was $8, right? If you had, today, it now worth over $30K. The gain is very handsome. Of course if you are dreaming a little more, or looking back a lot further, so do speak, that you'd purchased $1K of the Walmart stocks in the early 70's at the IPO, you can pretty well retired today, living in a decent house and driving a Mercedes SL600.

Let's me be serious, if I want to invest $1K in the stock market, for a somewhat longer term. I might as well purchase $150 shares of Country Wide Finance. At least it pays $0.60 dividend per year. Yes, it would likely be taken over by the Bank Of America in the form of share exchange. But hey, a bank of this size and pays $2.56 , almost 6% dividend per year, what else do you want.

intel

apple still high
