How can you open and get capital to startup an investment and private equity firm with no schooling?

Any Suggestions are welcome.

I hate to rain on your parade, but your odds of raising capital for an investment firm without "schooling" are somewhere between slim and none. It's not likely that investors will risk capital with someone who doesn't have a degree or experience. There are too many good opportunities to invest with companies that have a reasonable chance of good returns.

At the very least, you're going to need partners with solid business management and investment credentials. More realistically, you need to get a degree and spend some time working in business management and finance. Investors won't be interested in providing capital unless they have a high degree of faith in your ability to run your company well. The fact that you're asking this type of question on Yahoo Answers tells your potential investors that you're not ready.

Owning a company is a great dream and lots of people succeed. I hope that you do, too. However, you need a realistic plan first.

Get a business license....BUT you must be careful about how you raise capital. Some ways to do it are not legal. If you have to ask you probably are headed for trouble.

Just learn how to form limited partnerships. That's fairly simple.

You're going to want to find someone who works in that industry and work to start his or her own firm. You'd need this person to use their industry contact and get you touch with the right set of people. furthermore, you must decide on which area of priviate equity investment you want to get into. know the risks associated with doing that as how to pitch to investor for such as enterprise.
