Help me get my finances straight!? |
Can I get some advice on how to handle the situation and what I should do? Thanks. I would pay off the two smaller ones, then pay off all except $300 of Citi Card. I would definately pay off your Citi Card and Chase Card in full. The interest and finances charges are what will get you. Wamu Checking is such a low amount you should try to pay that off in 1-2 payments if possible and if not try to pay what you can as often as possible until paid in full. If I were you, I'd pay off the Wamu checking and the Chase card. Then I'd put the remaining $900 toward the Citi Card. Then you'd only owe the Citi Card $100, which you could pay off as your finances allow. Are you stating that your checking at WAMU is negative $100 or that it is a credit card? If your checking is negative then you should bring that to zero first. If the WAMU account is another credit card my advice would be to payoff the Citi or Chase card first then the WAMU. You would first think to payoff the largest balance but I would calculate how much interest each would charge you per month and payoff whichever is higher then pay the other. Whatever you do make sure you make the minimum payment every month if you can not pay in full. |
