Finance Work?

I have about 10 years of administration/customer service and debt collection work experience. I am almost 40 years old and would now like to change careers. I was thinking of finding work in the financial services such a bank.

What type of work could I find in a bank with my current work experience? Is there usually opportunities for advancement in such a place or would I be stuck in the first job I get in the bank? What is salary range for working in a bank?

Check out the personal bankers requirements which Lloyd's TSB employ. I know our "personal banker" when we were with Lloyd's was someone who had retrained into the role, after taking a career break to raise a family.
