Is my bank allowed to give out my address? |
i have recently moved address, having informed my bank..I also owe a small loan to a finance company and was wondering..can the bank give them my new address if they ask for it? I am not paying back that loan and decided to just save up and pay them the lump sum...I wont be able to clear my debt if i keep paying them monthly. it will take me around 3 months to save up and give it to them. I agree with meli and spock. Don't be foolish and hurt your credit. Such irresponsibility will hang on in your credit file for a long time. It will hurt you for years to come. Avoid any late payments as if they were the plague. no, but they can get your address from a credit reporting agency that does have an agreement with banks to have your info. See a loan officer and ask if you can work out a different payment plan rather than risking ruining your credit. The worst thing you can do is ignore your personal loan payments for a few months. They will assume you've skipped out and act accordingly. Talk to them if you need to stretch out the repayment. The worst (and most likely) is the creditor gets a default judgment and garnishes your bank acct....and/or employer Yes. Yes and yes. Last one no. |
