Can someone help with a loan?

I am a wife and mother of three. 3 years ago my husband was out of work ill and when we finally found out what was wrong with him, he almost died. He had 2 stents put in his heart at the age of 37. Needless to say, he was out of work for a while, and we got way behind on our finances. I have been at my job for 4 years now, and he at his for 2. He is now working 6-7 days a week. We do side jobs like painting, grass cutting, anything we can do, but we still can't seem to catch up and stop the collection calls. We do not have enough debt to qualify for debt consolidation, 4 credit cards-total $2,000 and some medical bills, and loans from family and friends. We have rent, utilities, and a car payment(which we were just able to get in November, before that we didn't have a car). We would like to have a loan of about $7,500.00 so we can pay off the debt we owe, stop the collection calls, and get a little ahead. Basically we want to get back on our feet. If anyone can help, Thank You!

I have allready approached any bank, and I have allready been scammed once by a company in canada and once from a private lender in Nigeria. They got me for about $2,000 total and I am working with the FTC & FBI on those cases. I was just hoping for some other answers, or somewhere else to turn. Thank you for your answers.

Banks have all kinds of different loans... for personal use. Based on your statement it doesn't sound like you or your husband have very good credit.... I would, first off, check into that. If you have and know it's not that good I would then try whatever I could to get it back up and it isn't as hard as everyone lets on.... you could go to annualcreditreport.com they are free... next you could take a look at your budget, actually sit down and lay out your budget. Figure out what you can do with out and for how long to help in someway get things caught up. I am a single mother of twins and I have no debt, three credit cards-0-balance and a house and a nice car.... and I make less than 20 thousand a year! As mothers we tend to make things work! Locate your local county trustees churches for donations... or call around to get a government non-for-profit agency to help you with an electric bill... and use that money towards a credit card payment. I did it because I went with out, still am and don't mind.... I have no phone line in my house, just my cell, I have no cable, but thoroughly enjoy movie night with my twins... there are ways to dramatically cut down... you just have to figure them out! Feel free to e-mail my profile or at r1king2005@yahoo.com for more suggestions... love to help.

Approach any bank

Really, anyone who will tell you that they have easy money to loan you because you are in such dire straits is going to be conning you.
Getting back on your feet is tough. Try to live below your means - even if that seems impossible - by watching every penny. $7,500 is a lot to ask for even though you think there are people who are so rich it wouldn't mean anything to them. It is going to plug up the holes in the dyke of financial troubles but you have to basically build a better dyke. That means that if he is working 6-7 days a week and you are working, too, you are both working as much as you can since you have children who need you too.
You can try to get better jobs or just stay at the jobs you have and learn to budget very very well. That is truly the solution to your problem.
You have creditors who will take very small regular payments from you - the relatives who loaned you money. Even the creditors who are dunning you are probably willing to take small even payments from you, as long as you talk to them and agree on a reliable payment plan.
You should share your financial concerns with your kids if they are old enough. Not to alarm them but to show them that because of health problems, you are in a financial position that your are slowly working your way out of.
You've already been scammed. Asking for easy money on Answers is a ready invitation to be scammed again.
Read Michelle Singletary's discussion transcripts and look in the archive of her columns on the Washington Post website. She often discusses the problems of digging yourself out of this kind of situation.
Is it your worry that this will take too much time? It just will. There's no way around it.
Do not think that the solution is someone just giving you money. Your life will go on and more debts will pile up and that is what everyone experiences. The catastrophic events you had were severe tests but you need to remain steady, conservative with your money and watchful of every dollar that comes in and goes out. There's just no substitute for that.

It is going to be hard to get someone to loan you such an amount after the problems. So, I suggest that you figure out what you need each month to pay the regular bills, (setting all the other stuff, credit, medical and what ever else aside) then figure out what you need from each paycheck to live. (food, gas, small amount of spending money) Take what is left and divide it paying just the minimum on the credit cards right now. Then once you have gotten the other cleared up start paying more on the credit cards until they are paid. It takes alot of determination but once you have done this you will feel much better than getting one loan to pay off more.

my heart certainly goes out to you but sometimes taking on another loan is simply adding debt to debt .....
appreciate the fact that you have clearly done as much as you humanly can....
have you checked with local churches in regard to your most basic needs and can therefore use your income for the other bills?

if the churches themselves cannot help should have information to share with you in regard to other helps

you are in my prayers!

Best wishes!!
