Have you read today's yahoo article on how to cut credit card debt?

http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-budgeti...

Not trying to shill yahoo, just thought it was an interesting article. They made a point about how different interest rates can be even between major banks.

Sometimes I've been too lazy to even check that.

HiYa handsome snertie cat..how you been?

I'm not truculent!

nope have been real busy doing other things

ya know, honestly, i really don't understand why people do that.
if shoes, for example, cost $70, why would someone want to pay $80 for them?
when you add in the interest, that's what happens.
if you mess up, and forget to make a payment, it's $100.

now i use a chase credit card.
i get 3% back on gasoline, and 1% back on everything else.
if i pay $70, it only costs me $69.30

banks (i worked at one) used to call folks like me "convenience users".
yep. they're right.

we're all gonna bring home, maybe $1,500 a month.
we can pay $100 for interest, and have the rest to spend.
or we can get $15 back, and have $1515 to spend.

now i know there will be some who say, "I just don't have enough, i can't pay it off."
somehow i doubt you're gonna get a raise next month.
by not paying it off this month, you'll have less next month.
and it just gets worse.

i said, I don't understand.
truth is, i wish i didn't understand.
it would be good for this country if we didn't have nearly $10,000,000,000,000 in debt.
it'll be higher than that before long.
but way too many of us think we need a tax cut, at the same time we already have a deficit, and the only way to pay for the tax cut is more debt.
that's stealing from our children.
if the bank owns your house and your car, are they really yours?
if China owns so much of our debt, is this really our country?

however, as to credit cards, get one that pays you, and always pay it off.
then you have more to spend, not less.

and keep in mind, if you don't spend $1, that's not only a dollar earned, but it's tax free. it's worth $1.20 or %1.30

have a nice day.

No, cuz personally I do not get up until 10-10:30 in the morning usually. This morning was a whole different story because I just couldn't go back to sleep.
