What to do with a fiance's debt?

Here is the situation...we have been living together for 2 years will be getting married in Fall '09. We are both fairly young ( I am 25, he is 31) and dont have too much money yet, as of now we still have all of our finances separate.

He pays current child support from a past relationship and is also $11,000 in debt from this (long story) he is actively trying to get this paid off as soon as possible on his $40k salary. He is paying around $300/month on the debt as this is all he can afford right now. He does not have savings either but no other debt besides this.

I have no debt and make $55k and am trying to save as much as possible for a home for us after we are married. I have about $13k and am able to save about $1,200 a month in addition to retirement savings etc. My question is, should I just pay off his debt at 10% interest to avoid him paying so much in interest on this from my savings? Or should I wait until we are actually married and use our combine income?

wait until and if you are married. Nothing is ever certain in this life, especially relationships. He would be the only one benefiting from this deal.
