In default 12,000 on an invest. property in SA worth 800,000. Bank wants to foreclose.? |
Please help. We owe 12,000AUS on an investment property, worth 800,000.00plus in South Australia. Bank wants to take legal action this Tuesday if I can not make full payment. We are seasonal workers about to rebegin work this month. We have been trying to make regular weekly payments of $500-$1000 per week off of casual work my husband undertakes, but this is not enough to please the bank. We have other assets up for sale also valued at $40,000.00 to help recover from this.(Cars) The bank is not willing to wait, please we need advise on what we can expect and if there is anyone who can help us. We are not in a position to refinance either due to this matter. The property is up for sale privately, the bank knows of this. I would imagine that the rules regarding mortgages are the same in Australia as they are in the states. You need to come up with the full amount owed before the lender will even consider dealing with you, at this point they aren't going to take small payments..If you can't come up with the money immediately to get your account current, they are going to foreclose on the property. If that's the case stop giving them money becasue you're going to need it for moving expenses. |
